Carl Dimitri has received Fellowships in Painting from the Vermont Studio Center and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts. In 2013, he was elected into the Drawing Center. He has published illustrations for the Kenyon Review, Bomb and Paper Darts, and has illustrated a number of books including Dandelion Farm by Darcie Dennigan and Blue Hole by Kate Colby. He has exhibited in New York, Miami, Cincinnati, Providence, New London, and Los Angeles.
Dimitri has recently been working on a series of cartoons titled, Hello Mussolini. He has committed to making one cartoon a day until the Trump era is over. We are featuring five of these works here.
